Green House Seed Company has introduced on the market in 2008 a revolutionary technique that allows multiple strains to be sold in a single pack. Green House seeds are now produced in a new, color-coated version.
The color coating has been used in the last years to improve visibility of seeds in order to facilitate planting (especially in third world countries), as well as to increase the germination ratio by adding hormones and root stimulators in the coating itself. Another advantage of the coating is the fact that root and plant diseases can now be prevented by adding anti-pathogens to it. Holland is world leader in this sector, producing most of the equipment and the additives used to color-coat seeds worldwide.
The new Green House Seed Company Research & Development Centre is equipped with special machinery to select, coat and color the seeds. The laboratory facilities have been built with many criteria in mind: innovative equipment, cutting edge techniques, and a strict quality control of the product.
The seeds are first coated with a secret mix developed by Green House Seed Company during years of research in cooperation with international laboratories. The coating contains root stimulators and anti-pathogen, ideal to help the seeds during the first days and weeks of their life. After the coating, comes the color. Seeds are painted using special non-toxic water-based colors, made with organic components and completely safe for the environment and its creatures. The freshly colored seeds are then dried in a special dryer, and tested before packaging.
The seeds are checked for uniformity and germination before and after the color coating process, to ensure the highest standards and to guarantee that our demanding customers are delighted with our strains.
In addition to the traditional packs, there are now 22 new types of mixed color-packs available (10 types with 5 seeds in a pack and 12 types with 10 seeds in a pack). The combinations range from different indica/sativa mixes to much awaited all-sativa and all-indica combinations. The colors are shiny, intense, very eye-catching. They range from metallic yellow (AMS) to gold (Lemon Skunk), from metallic red (Big Bang) to purple (Hawaiian Snow), from black (White Rhino) to white (White Widow).
Growers can buy 5 strains in a single pack, and there will never be a doubt about the identity of a seed..

The feedback on the color-coated seeds is great, and other companies are starting to copy the idea.
